The Secret Handshake é música para dançar. O único membro fixo da banda, Luis Dubuc, que compõe todas as canções, é fortemente influenciados pelo Daft Punk e dá para perceber as semelhanças especialmente no vocal e no uso dos sintetizadores. A diferença é que ele faz um som mais inocente, despretencioso, super leve e gostoso de ouvir.

The Secret Handshake is music to dance. The only oficial member of the band, Luis Dubuc, who writes all the songs, is strongly influenced by Daft Punk and you can see de similarities especially in the vocals and synths. The difference is that his music is more inocent and soft, really really nice to hear :)

A banda manda muito bem ao vivo também. Esse vídeo foi gravado em abril, quando eles participaram de um programa matinal da FOX.

Recomendo essa banda pra quem gosta de Boys Like Girls. É o mesmo estilo, só que com uma pegada mais powerpop. Esse é o segundo disco dos garotos e tem algumas faixas bem legais, como A Reason To Love, Crazy e uma ótima versão pop rock de Don't Matter, aquele hit do Akon que dominou geral no ano passado.

I recomend this band for fans of Boys Like Girls. It's very similar, but a little more powerpop. This is the second record they release and has some nice singles like A Reason To Love, Crazy and a cool pop rock version of Don't Matter, that hit by Akon that was everywhere last year.

It's finally out! Brazilian powerpop band Cine's first record with Universal Music was launched yesterday on the band's oficial MySpace. What a lovelly surprise to their fans! Flashback presents new versions of old songs from their first EP, 80's, but now they have a much better production and arranges that are far, far away from the raw simplicity of the original record. The new tracks are exactly what you would expect from Cine: fun, dancing and sticky like glue, the kind of music that you just can't get out of your head for days, and when you do, it is just because another song of the CD made in to your brain. The record's cover is cool too. It shows what the band is up to and reveals clearly the inspiration on Forever The Sickest Kids.

Finalmente saiu! O primeiro álbum oficial do Cine pela Universal Music do Brasil foi lançado ontem no MySpace oficial da banda, uma surpresa bastante agradável para os fãs. Flashblack traz novas versões de músicas do primeiro EP, 80's, agora com excelente produção e arranjos longe da simplicidade crua das canções originais. As faixas inéditas são exatamente aquilo que você esperaria do Cine: divertidas, dançantes e grudentas, do tipo que você não consegue tirar da cabeça durante dias, até que outro refrão viciante do CD ocupe o espaço no seu cérebro. A capa do disco também ficou bem legal, simples e direta, mostrando logo a proposta descontraída da banda, que se inspira abertamente no som e no visual dos caras do Forever The Sickest Kids.

[ Video do Dia ] Cine - Garota Radical é o clipe mais visto no MTV Overdrive

Garota Radical is the first oficial videoclip made by the brazilian powerpop band Cine since they signed up for Universal Music. The video is just so much fun, with lots of colors, shiny lights and all that glow. I felt sorry for the band when João Gordo destroyed the video on Gordoshop (a TV show we have on MTV Brasil) but, despite the headbangers hate, the boys already reached the first position between the most seen videos on MTV Overdrive.

Garota Radical é o primeiro clipe oficial dos meninos do Cine desde que assinaram com a Universal Music do Brasil. O video é bem feitinho e, é claro, super colorido, cheio de luzes, brilho e bom humor. Fiquei com pena quando vi o João Gordo destruir o clipe no Gordoshop na semana passada, mas, por mais que os roqueiros carrancudos torçam o nariz, a banda está mandando bem e já conquistou o primeiro lugar entre os clipes mais vistos do MTV Overdrive.

Cine - Prometa LIVE @ Morumbi/SP [24/05/09]

New video by LBViDZ presenting brazilian powerpop/pop rock band Cine oppening Jonas Brothers's show @ São Paulo (may 24th). The cool thing is that people actually enjoyed the performance, even though they were desperate to see those Jonas boys. That's rare! You can see the public singing the chorus along with the band and it's just so cool!

Vídeo fresquinho do Cine no Morumbi, abertura do show Jonas Brothers, postado pela LBViDZ agora há pouco no YouTube. O legal é a aceitação positiva do público. Geralmente em grandes shows de bandas gringas a galera só quer que a banda de abertura acabe logo para ver a atração principal, mas no caso deles isso não aconteceu. O público inclusive cantou o refrão de Prometa junto com eles!
